I think it means that its not normal for teenagers, or really anyone in America for that matter to be disciplined with their money. when we do that,we're gonna stick out, but we should push through anyways. because later on it will help us and we can use it to help others too.
Living like no one else........... He means that we should live like "no one else" by living a good deal within our means and making saving for pretty much everything a huge priority. Living like no one else, later, would mean that you wouldn't see any crises like other people would. You would be prepared! To me, this means that I should pay attention in my 4th hour class at Friday Addition and act on what I learn by disciplining myself and focusing on my goals.
*Living like no one else now would be like me (just an every day teenager) saving and learning about why it's important to save and when it's ok to spend. *Living like no one else later on in life would be like being prepared for retirement. And since you'd be prepared (wouldn't have to worry), you would have money after retirement to do the things you wanted to such as traveling or helping other people out.
live like no one else - plan ahead, don't think you are going to have a good retirement if you don't save now. in other words don't spend every penny and expect the government to take care of you during retirement
so you can live like no one else- by saving early on you can have a great retirement no need for a 401-k from the government which doesn't have the money to lend you
Adam I think that Dave is saying that we need to save money, which no one does. So we can live better and happier latter on in life, which again nobody does.
Live like no one else now: I think it means to save and be careful with money now, which not many people do.
Live like no one else later: I think that this one means that if we stay focused during the years that we save, we will have plenty for retirement and be able to be safe and not have to worry about not having enough to get by :)
If you save now, while others are spending and buying things to impress the people around them and are ignoring any reason to create any amount of savings, you'll have a better and more secure life later on when you're older, or retired, while people are struggling to get by.

Living like no one else means as a normal kid, I might seem odd for being responsible with money.
ReplyDeleteSo you can live like no one else means that you won't have to worry about money when you retire.
To me, this means that I should apply what I learn to my life so I don't have to worry when I retire.
Autumn
I need to save and invest my money now, so that when I am older I will be prepared and won't have to worry about not having enough money.
ReplyDeleteI believe Dave is stating that we need to live as different teenagers (spending, saving, tithing) so later in live we can live as different adults.

We need to be smart with our money now and plan for the future (like no one else) so that we will have a better future (like no one else)
