Some of the things that I have done have a tendency to set me apart. There are very few people that I know that have worked over a hundred hours on a robot or on any other thing. Adam
Show your experience of other jobs, or interning jobs, show much respect for the person, be on time for the interview, dress nice for the interview, and thank them for doing the interview.
1) Dressing appropriately for the occasion. 2) Being punctual. 3) Showing respect. 4) Confidently explaining your job experiences. 5) Describing how you and your strengths will benefit the people and community you want to work for. 6) Setting up an interview and a follow-up phone call (and remembering to do it on time) 7) Thanking your interviewers for their time.
Some ways you can stand out from others: Dress nicely, be punctual, be respectful, make eye contact and give a strong handshake (basically, positive body language), have confidence (but not cockiness), have a good attitude.
Dressing for the job you want, not the job you have. Being kind and energetic and encouraging to the people around you. Working hard, not complaining...being confident. Being early to the interview or job. There are many ways to "stand out" in a good way.
